Mental Health Services

During your journey to the U.S, you may feel anxious, afraid, or stressed as you and your family adjust to new circumstances and a new culture. Our multi-cultural and multi-lingual staff can help you if you’re dealing with school or work issues, parenting, stress related to your immigration status, or any of life’s challenges.

Our team of counselors and social workers have a deep understanding of your cultural needs, and the special mental health challenges you may face.

Our programs

Free Counseling for Uninsured and Low-Income Latino Immigrants

CIELO provides mental health services to immigrants struggling with:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Trauma or
  • Family issues.

If you feel you or a loved one could benefit from counseling support, please contact us. This program is for people who might not have access to care, including uninsured and low-income clients.

For clients referred by the Department of Child, Youth and Families (DCYF)

CIELO’s counselors and case managers work with clients who are referred to us by social workers at DCYF. These services include:

  • Crisis Family Intervention Services (CFI). This six-week, in-home family counseling program deals with parent-teen conflict.
  • Professional Services. Provides mental health counseling by referral from DCYF.
  • Family Preservation Services (FPS). This program focuses on improving family functioning. It also helps families to connect to local community resources.
  • Positive Parenting Program (PPP). Gives parents simple and practical strategies to help them manage their children’s behavior, prevent problems and build strong and healthy relationships.

CIELO provides vital support and resources for refugees and immigrants in the South Sound. Our diverse staff knows the challenge of settling in a new land because many of them have done it for themselves.  We offer educational, counseling and advocacy services.  These services empower immigrants to realize their dreams.  Families and individuals from all nations are welcome.
