CIELO works in three main areas to support our clients: education, counseling, and advocacy for victims of crime. We offer a wide variety of classes including English Language Learning (ELL) and Adult Basic Education in Spanish. We offer computer classes, citizenship test preparation and sewing and tailoring classes. We also offer programs specifically designed for children ages 3-18. This includes tutoring, preschool classes and helping parents work more successfully with their children’s schools.
For victims of crime, including sexual assault and domestic violence, we help them navigate the justice system and act as advocates. We also provide information and referral services, including to other agencies and resources.
CIELO is one of the few organizations in our region that provides free mental health services for Spanish speaking individuals. Our therapists are multi-lingual, and understand the special needs of immigrants.
